Eye Movements
From the eye movements during a performance of a task, it is possible to infer about cognition:
- The direction and the duration of the subject’s look, give an indication of his interest and a measurement of the process time.
- The eye movements are non-volitional and are valid for cognitive visual tasks, audio tasks, etc.
- The method enables following the traces without the interfering with the cognitive process itself.
Criticism
- During the experiment the head of the subject should be fixed in one place which may influence his functioning.
