The Path Patcher Zach Brand |

Welcome,
all, to my final project page. I
created The Path Patcher. It is
a ChucK program that allows the user
to apply multiple various pre-defined sets of effects to their instruments in
real time. This code serves as a
replacement for a digital effects processing pedal. You can apply any number of effects, customize their
parameters, and set them up in whatever order you want (including feedback
and feedforward) with unrestricted complexity. Once you define your set of effects, it can easily be patched
in to your sound with the push of one button on your keyboard. The code
is quite easy to understand and modify, so you will be up, running, and
defining your own paths of effects in no time. Simply download the manual, give it a quick read through,
and then download the code. For my
final presentation, I used The Path Patcher to perform a piece written by Dan
Zar called Shipwreck. This piece uses two
different paths for each of my guitar and my vocals. The code that is available from this
site is exactly what I used to create those sounds, there was no extra post
processing involved. Everything
was done live including all path changes. For a recording of my version of the song, click here. Enjoy! Good luck playing with my code and
creating your own on-the-fly adjustable paths.
