Explanation

For my project I decided to experiment with the Auditory illusion effect. I started with an interesting Japanese A scale (which has an interesting effect since we're not used to the high interval change between notes; it gives a sense of being a much different scale than natural A minor even though it uses many of the same notes). I then created a pattern which I sporked mutliple times with an echo effect which allowed the notes to be played very close together bringing rise to new notes and note patterns that weren't there to begin with. After experimenting with rhythmic patterns of the hi hats and kick drums, I created a SinOsc bass that played under the repeating mandolin pattern. I ended the entire piece with an oboe sample that had an ADSR envelope on the pitch raising it up 48 semitones in 20 seconds then dropping it to some lower register. This brought rise to a multitude of notes and note patterns that weren't there at all (and couldn't ever be played by an oboe) to begin with.
