I chose a flute (StkInstrument - Flute) for my instrument to physically model. I tried messing around with more advanced parameters (.jetDelay, .pressure, etc.), but ran into a lot of trouble, so I stuck with a traditional noteOn/noteOff approach.
The sound file I chose to randomly sample from is a composition for piano called "After The Rain", written by yours truly. The piece has a lot of subtle harmonic variety, so the random sampling turned out very well, in my opinion.
