In this project I chose to use a sample of a very pleasing guitar solo full of slides and slaps. This smooth fluid sound was very interesting when
put through the chopping sampling effects of the chuck program. This created a very spaced out ambient vibe. To accompany this sound with a physically modeled sound programmed in chuck, I chose to use the blowhole instrument. This created an ambient sound that I could shape to blend well with the guitar. I altered a few properties of the blowhole including the size of its tonehole, the pressure of the air flowing through the pipe, and the rate of attack of the tone. I then altered the sporking of the two sounds in order to create a dynamic performance that included the different solos and duos that are characteristic of Erocolino Feretti's "Pipe and Drum."
