In this project I sought to use the concept of meteorology to create a sound file that embodied rainfall and temperature. I sought to find a low
range with the temperature data to create a lasting, and present cushioning for the rainfall. That is, a more ambient presence like temperature seems to be. I then experimented with the two different rainfall data files in making lake michigan a saw oscillator to create a screechy sort of rainfall. It comes out as almost chaotic, as if real life were made more hectic by the presence of rain. However, in the Nottingham file I used a pulse oscillator with a more smoothed out sound to embed the concept of a soothing and ebbing form of rain. It all depends on the emotion and context, so I attempted to have them both happen independently, followed by them happening concurrently. I did this to symbolize the emotional effects of each and how they overlap. I then changed the frequencies and reverb of all of them to find the right sound.
