Contrasting Call

Hello my name is Nick Budincich. My title is Contrasting Call. I found two very different data sets online, one following the monthly temperature of New York for many years, and another about food in Iceland (I couldn't read exactly what it was about, I don't speak Icelandic). Needless to say these two differ significantly. I made the New York temperature sound calm and relaxed - as the data followed a rhythm (as you can imagine, summer - hot, winter - cold; repeat). This is the bulk of the track. I then made the Icelandic Food data sound shriek-y and uncomfortable - a stark contrast. The food clip is much shorter, and is played at 2 times throughout the clip. I made the first sound rhythmic by changing the update time, adding a bit of reverb, using a Triangle Oscillator, and lowering the base frequency. I made the second sound uncomfortable by changing the update time to longer, adding a good deal of reverb, using a Sine Oscillator and a Square Oscillator in tandem, increasing the amplitude, and lowering the frequency multiplier. Thank you and all the best.

Thank you!
