A composition comprising of 6 Sections (2 x Rhythm, 2 x Improvisation, 2 x Nature).
The improvisations were recording with a microKorg, Chuck, and Ableton Live. While the microKorg was played chuck was used to provide envelope and frequency following. The parameters of these devices were manipulated live to create unique results.
For the Rhythm sections I revisited the chuck code used above but improvised to a drum sequence, which was being algorithmically generated in ableton live through follow actions.
Finally for the Nature component, a live nature recording of birds was sliced, diced, remapped, re-pitched, and automated in ableton to create a series of different generative sections.
After these sections were recorded they were arranged in ableton and rendered into individual stems. These stems were then brought in to chuck where they were Binaurally mixed.
