I tried to make the piece fit into the constraints that popular music falls into. The meaning behind this is that energy and military expenditure are opposites amongst the majority of the developed world today. Everyone wants energy, and no one wants war. Similarly, the fact that the performer is data, a new type of musician, contrasts with the fact that it fits into a style of music that is easily recognisable.
