The final2 piece plays around with chord progressions to create interesting arpeggios of ascending and descending chords. It uses chuck to create a loop of the drum kit and to create the arpeggiated chord progressions. The drum pattern comes in straight, but I sporked it twice. I staggered sporking the drum pattern to create a new, more swung pattern. The drum pattern is relatively fast and the chord progression is really off beat and much slower then the drum pattern. I think it makes it sound interesting and is an interesting concept to play around with even though it doesn't end up sounding the best. Originally I had wanted to compose something similar to homework 3, where it was a "musical conversation" of traded solos over a low drone, which is final1. My original piece creates a duet using the physical instrument models in chuck. The dissonant drone is split intermittently by random solos from a shaker and a stifkarp chuck instrument.
