220a HW 5: Pitch Tracking and Score Rendering

Score Reading

In this homework assignment, I recursively passed an input file to a piece of Chuck code that tracked amplitude and pitch and then mixed several iterations of the recording together. You will also hear some fm and subtractive synthesis sounds, as well as a short drum clip from a Grateful Dead recording [Dick's Picks Volume 4].

Below you will find a score of the first couple minutes of nature recording 21, by Bernie Krause. In the recording, you primarily here bird song and man made sounds (jacket being zipped and unzipped, breathing, moving the microphone, rustling, etc). Furthermore, the birdsong at the begining and end of the recording are quite different.
