Applications of the STFT

This chapter gives a brief tour of selected applications in the field of spectral audio signal processing, with associated examples in matlab. Related historical background appears in Appendix H. In this chapter, however, we relax historical considerations and focus primarily on efficient current methods, typically involving the Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT).
