Leveraging Existing Websites

While the above listed websites do not serve the purposes of the Open Dictionary, they can be leveraged to accelerate development in several ways:

• Google is a great source of link candidates.
• The Open DIRECTORY context hierarchy can be used.
• Open DIRECTORY content can be filtered down to its knowledge-oriented subset and added to the Open Dictionary.
• We may adopt aspects of the distributed editorship model at the Open DIRECTORY (over 38,000 editors).
