Auditory Streams

This piece uses four notes of a whole tone scale, starting with F (midi 65), descending a tritone, then coming back up by whole steps. There are actually 3 streams once the notes start moving. In part I, you can hear a fast ascending scale, an obvious slow descending scale, and a less obvious slow descending scale. One descending scale is slightly offset from the other, so it sounds a lot like they are chasing each other. Part II does the same thing, but pitches are moved down a whole step and played in reverse. You hear two fast ascending scales and one slow descending scale.
