My composition consists of a variety of woodwind synthesis sounds to create the impression of spirits surrounding the listener with dance and music in a forest. The free sections are a composition of amplitude mappings of vocal noises and percussive hits to emphasize volume and invoke an image of "natural" noises. The rhythm sections consist of frequency interpretations of a ChucK rendition of Pachabel's Canon and a whistled interpretation of the theme song from Andy in Mayberry - both of which are designed to invoke a surrounding sense of wonder and happy melody. Finally, the scored sections provide natural background noise with the spectrum tracker and amplitude tracker hooked up to wind/woodwind instruments to illustrate the natural wind passing throught the trees.
