Chuck Files / Data Files

Generated Wave File

Description

For this assignment I used two separate chuck files for the monophonic and polyphonic sections of the piece. The first, m220a-Player.ck, uses a soft sine wave oscillator with generous reverb and demonstrates the first several highlights of the data set, while the second, m220a-Duo.ck, uses a triange wave oscillator, and sporks into two separate threds of excecution, one about 450 ms behind the other. Reverb and chorus effects are applied to the triangle oscillator, and the sampling rate of the data set begins very slow and laborious, but over time increases to a higher, smoother rate and finally reaches a constant rate towards the end of the piece. Both chuck files used the same data set.

Sources

The data set, or time series, that I used for this assignment was the "Average Monthly Temperatures Across the World (1701 - 2011)", specifically for Yosemite Valley.
