Music 220a Homework #4

I experimented a lot with the MIDI pitch values and the values in the FM Index and FM Ratio arrays. The recording starts with D#₄, C₆, C₅, and C₄ as the initial pitches. The pitches successively drop 2 octaves. After the drop, the pitches initially go up by a major third and continually ascend till they reach a half step below the initial pitches. The recording concludes at the original pitches.

After I recorded the stereo files of my Chuck code, I applied an Echo filter in Audacity and ran the original stereo recordings and the “echoed” recordings through Chuck to create the final product.
