For this assignment, I used the BlowHole sound accompanied by short samples from a song by Kathleen Battle, an African-American opera singer. The piece starts off with a solo from Kathleen, then goes to a solo from the BlowHole, then it's mostly a duet until the outro which is another solo from Kathleen. I intended for the samples from Kathleen to sound more musical and make more sense to the ear, while the BlowHole would sound random and disorienting. Toward the middle of the piece, the two voicings finally start to resemble each other to some extent, each of them sounding melodic/methodic instead of random/rambling.
