For this assignment, I wanted to try my hand at composing a piece that utilized the effects that can be achieved by having different sounds coming out of different speakers. I used code from homework 3, by taking two samples and having them performed by algorithms, using random and logistic wave forms. I tried using different samples, or favorite songs, but landed on two that were varied enough that I like the way they came together in my piece. The softer sample, the one that I used as a baseline for the piece, is called Softly We Go, by Evenings. The other, which included vocals, is The 1975 Remix of James Vincent McMorrow's Cavalier. Once I used the algorithms from homework 3 to produce scores from each piece, I put them into Audacity so that I could put together the different pieces in such a way that I liked. When I presented the piece in class, Chris called it a musical kaleidoscope, which I really liked. So that's why I called the piece what I did!
