Homework 5: FFT-based Real-time Tracking

Gabriele Carotti-Sha

Free Sections.
Real time digitally modulated guitar. Free improvisation. Both sections were generated using two heavily modified Clarinet UGen's. The first is simply controlled in frequency by the frequency tracker with pitch shift; the second is controlled in amplitude by spectrum centroid. ~30sec each.

Rhythm Sections.
Jam over rhythm track. The first section uses the same digital instrument from the free sections. The second section uses multiple Saxofony UGen's as a real-time controlled orchestration. ~30sec each.

First section: score follows the high pitched constant chirping in rhythm, and the background wind/rain/noise for varying amplitude;
Second section: score follows the punctuation given by non-constant fauna. ~30sec each.
