Streaming

To make the streaming illusion more clear, I set the instruments up so that the various parameters (panning, loudness, modulation index, ratio, skew, and attack) are all varied continuously using a set of envelopes. At the beginning of the piece, all of the voices are identical, but slowly during the first section they each gain a character of their own and streaming causes them to separate into distinct voices

During the second part, the pitch sequence is changed to a single repeating note, but the voices are still distinct as they were at the end of section 1. For this section, the parameters slowly vary again bringing them all back to identical.
