It was one of those thoughts that doesn't really have a clear beginning, one that just creeps into the brainular territories unnoticed. And then you just sort of realize it's been there for a while. This is how it began.
My roommate's laugh really fueled this project. When I heard it, it reminded me of chocolate milk gurgling over pebbles near a mossy knoll. It can be heard by itself at the very end of my piece.
I first recorded some laughs using my microphone.
I then modified them with audacity & ChucK, and experimented extensively with layering them in with ChucK. Once I found different combinations that interested me, I recorded them into Audacity and did the final editing and timing work.
