System Environment/Kernel

kernel-rtPAE - The Linux realtime kernel compiled for PAE capable machines

This package includes a version of the Linux kernel with support for up to
64GB of high memory. It requires a CPU with Physical Address Extensions (PAE).
The non-PAE kernel can only address up to 4GB of memory.
Install the kernel-PAE package if your machine has more than 4GB of memory.

This kernel is also patched with Ingo Molnar's realtime preemption patch.

Changelog

* Tue Dec 21 04:00:00 2010 Fernando Lopez-Lezcano <nando{%}ccrma{*}stanford{*}edu> 2.6.33.7-149.rt30.1
- changed a couple of instances of stable_update to stable_base so that
  the kernel is 2.6.33.7 proper instead of a non-existing 2.6.33.8
- change patch-2.6.33.7-8.bz2 to keep EXTRAVERSION at 7
- update to rt30, move rt patch to the end of patches to rework it to
  match the latest fixes from Fedora

    the same "flag" is called IRQF_NO_SUSPEND in the normal patched kernel
    and may be used for a different purpose, the change comes from git-linus.diff,
    so remove that change from git-linus.diff (maybe will introduce a bug?)

    one of the changes is introduced in patch-2.6.33.7-8 so drop it from there
    to preserve the integrity of the rt30 patch. The other chunk failure comes
    from mm-fix-up-some-user-visible-effects-of-the-stack-guard-page.patch, so
    frop the previous patch and keep the one in rt30. Dropped another chunk
    from linus-git that modifies things so the patch fails

* Sun Aug 15 05:00:00 2010 Chuck Ebbert <cebbert{%}redhat{*}com> 2.6.33.8-148
- Add all the patches from 2.6.34.4 that apply cleanly.
- Roll up the 2.6.34.4 patches as git-linus.diff
- Fix up usb-wwan-update and drm-core-next patches.
