General Information:
A graduate student working under Eugen Skudzryk at the Pennsylvania State University department of
Physics. His thesis (included here) on "Long Wavelength Acoustic Holography" (1969) shows that this
method can be used as a means of studying sound radiation from vibrating objects. This method was
based on long wavelengths, but it was not until a further development by Earl Williams, another of
Skudzryk's students, using short wavelengths that it could be applied to the surface of a violin.
