General Information:

A graduate student working under Eugen Skudzryk at the Pennsylvania State University department of

Physics. His thesis (included here) on "Long Wavelength Acoustic Holography" (1969) shows that this

method can be used as a means of studying sound radiation from vibrating objects. This method was

based on long wavelengths, but it was not until a further development by Earl Williams, another of

Skudzryk's students, using short wavelengths that it could be applied to the surface of a violin.
