| A research engineer-acoustician, originally in the Department of Speech at Stanford University, and |
| since 1970 working at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, who has done and continues to do |
| analysis and synthesis of violin tones. Two of his early papers are included here. His most recent one |
| (at this writing) was given at ISMA '92 in Tokyo: "Investigation of timbre using spectral modelling and |
| interpolation." |
